Prenatal Care
Siskiyou Community Health Center offers a complete prenatal program to help you enjoy a safe pregnancy and look forward to a healthy baby. You greatly increase the likelihood of having a healthy baby by getting early and regular prenatal care. Patients in our prenatal program deliver their babies at Three Rivers Community Hospital.
Remember:
- It’s important to get early and regular prenatal care.
- Our staff is available to help prenatal patients with enrollment in Oregon Health Plan or other programs that may cover the cost of prenatal care and delivery.
Once your baby is born, we are available to provide care for your newborn. We strive to help you every step of the way. Siskiyou Community Health Center is a place for every woman and every baby. We want to make sure your stay with us is comfortable and pleasant. You are like family and we do everything we can to meet your needs and exceed your expectations.
Lactation Services
The American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Academy of Family Physicians recommend that all infants receive only human milk for the first six months of life with the introduction of solid foods around six months of age and continued breastfeeding for at least the first year. Breastfeeding optimizes the health and development of the infant and child as well as having many benefits for the mother. For these reasons, Siskiyou Community Health Center provides breastfeeding support to mothers and children of any age.
