POSITION SUMMARY:
The Document Management Specialist is responsible for creating, organizing, storing, and retrieving digital documents for Siskiyou Community Health Center (SCHC). They ensure that documents are accurate, complete, secure, and accessible to authorized users. They also perform quality checks, audits, backups, and updates on the document management system.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Establish and implement policies and procedures regarding document storage, sharing, transmission, and destruction.
- Evaluate existing document management systems and procedures to determine current effectiveness and efficiency; identify and recommend improvements.
- Create and maintain document templates, standards, and
- Scan, index, and classify documents according to predefined categories and
- Store and retrieve documents from various sources, such as databases, cloud services, archives, or physical files.
- Ensure that documents are properly authorized, approved, signed, and
- Track and monitor document status, revisions, and
- Implement and enforce document security policies and access
- Provide technical support and training to document users and
- Identify and resolve document-related issues and
- Analyze and improve document management processes and

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, and EXPERIENCE:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- At least two years of related experience
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:
- Proficient in document management software, such as Microsoft SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat, DocuSign, or other related software.
